A reMarkable 2 case is chosen by two criteria: design and leather.

• Design. A snug sleeve carries the tablet alone, a sleeve with an extra leather pocket adds room for accessories, and a two-compartment case holds a charger or documents next to the tablet.
• Leather. Full-grain Crazy Horse leather has a slightly distressed surface whose marks blend into a patina; full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leather comes from Tuscan master tanners.

Where does the Marker go in your reMarkable 2 case?

Most reMarkable 2 case designs hold the Marker in a leather loop. In the two-compartment case the loop sits under the flap; in the snug sleeve the Marker can stay in the loop or be left in the case. The sleeve with an extra pocket takes either the Marker or the Marker Plus.

How is a reMarkable 2 sleeve different from the reMarkable Book Folio?

A leather reMarkable 2 sleeve differs from the Book Folio in coming off before use: the sleeve is a separate pouch the tablet slides into before it goes in a bag, while the Book Folio is a cover that stays attached even while working. The Book Folio holds the tablet with built-in magnets.

How does the wool felt in a reMarkable 2 case protect the tablet?

The merino wool felt lining of a reMarkable 2 case protects the tablet from bumps and scratches, while the full-grain leather forms the outer shell. Does a reMarkable 2 case still make sense now that the tablet is discontinued?

Yes, reMarkable 2 has been discontinued, but reMarkable still sells accessories for it and states that regular software updates for the reMarkable 2 will continue.

Which reMarkable 2 case fits the newer reMarkable models?

The reMarkable 2 case designs come for reMarkable Paper Pro too, and the tablet model is listed as its own option when ordering. The smaller 7.3-inch Paper Pro Move needs its own case size; those designs are collected under cases for reMarkable Paper Pro Move.
